At the call of great illiterateness in the rural area, to show the light of education, Siri Guru Har Rai Sahib Society was founded by the local residents. The society decided to start a college in this rural and Kandi area .This society is working under the blessed guidance of Jathedar Sant Baba Nihal Singh Ji, who is the Jathedar of Misal Shahidan Tarana Dal, Harian Bela of seventh Guru.The great legend Shri Guru Har Rai Sahib Ji visited this land during his practicing of Sikhism(1645 to 1661).That’s why,the society eastablished this college with great enthusiasm and named it ‘Siri Guru Har Rai Sahib College for Women’.
