1.How did Appu know that the banana trees needed water?
Ans.Appu could see that banana trees were drooping. On seeing that, Appu knew that the banana trees needed water.

2.From where do the plants growing around your house get water?
Ans. Most of the plants around my house get water from rain. Some plants are watered by us also.

3. Appu drank water from the river till he was happy. Have you seen animals drinking water? Where?
Ans. Yes, I have seen many animals drinking water. I have seen them drinking water from rivers, ponds and even from buckets.

4.Have you ever given water to any animals? If yes, which animal?
Ans. Yes, I have given water to a cow and a dog.

5.Some animals are not given water by anyone. From where do they drink water?
Ans.These animals drink water from rivers, ponds, drains, ditches, etc.

6.The’poet saw many things in the clouds. Have you ever seen anything in the clouds? What?
Ans. Yes, I have seen variety of shapes in clouds. I have seen the shapes of horses, cows, buffaloes, car, airplanes, monsters, etc. in clouds.

7.What do all the clouds do?
Ans. Clouds bring rains for us.

8.Have you ever seen a rainbow? When can you see a rainbow?
Ans. Yes, I have seen a rainbow. One can see a rainbow just after it rains.

9.How do you feel when it rains?
Ans. We feel happy when it rains.

10.Apart from clouds, what do you see when it rains?
Ans. Apart from clouds, we also see lightning when it rains.

11.What happens when it rains?
Ans. When it rains the day becomes cooler. Dark clouds hover in the sky. Frogs Start singing their rain song. We make paper boats to float in puddles.

12.Have you had any problems during rains? Have you seen anyone else having any problems due to rains? Draw a picture of your experience in the rain.

Once it rained so much that there was water-logging in my street. I had to wade through knee deep water when I was coming from school.
I have seen many other people suffering from rain. There is a small slum in my neighbourhood. All the houses in the slum get leaking roofs when it rains. People living in those houses face too much difficulty when it rains.
