1.How do you think Sajida’s dupatta was made?
Ans. Sajida’s dupatta is made from cloth, by machine or by weavers.

2.Take a dupatta or a long piece of unstitched cloth. Drape it in different ways. In how many ways, could you wear it?
Ans.A dupatta can be worn in many ways.

3.Did anyone wear it like a lungi or use it as a turban? In what other ways was the cloth worn?
Ans. Yes, we tried it like a lungi and also like a turban. Someone tried it like a sari and some other tried it like a dhoti.

4.Observe any six garments at home. What differences do you find in their texture, their colour and designs?
Ans. I could observe following differences:

  • Some garments have soft texture, while some garments have rough texture.
  • Some garments have bright colours, while some garments have dull colours.
  • Some garments have simple design, while some garments have complex designs.

5.Look at a thick cloth or a sack carefully. Can you see threads “running along its length and breadth? You will find a similar pattern if you see any piece of cloth closely.
Ans.Yes, I can see threads running along its length and breadth.
