Established in 1999 at shillong and later shifted to Jorabat in 2002. It is the first self financed institution, established and run by a Charitable Trust North Eastern India Trust for Education adnd Development (NEITED), Shillong. The MISSION is to impart quality and value added education, training and research in Engineering and Management Education to make the youth of the region employable in the global market and the VISION is to build a centre of Excellence of Engineering and Technical Education for all round development of Meghalaya and the hill areas of North eastern region as well as it's neighboring States.
