Neighboring Districts of Punjab to start institution of higher education to provide Job Oriented Courses for youth of the area in general and young girls in particular, who could not get such education at far away places from their homes, the Gursewa Society For Education, Health and Welfare Activities was established in the year of 2000 under the able guidance and presidentship of Dr. Jung Bahadur Singh Rai of Rai Hospital Garhshankar, a doctor by profession, a social worker by deeds and a seasoned political elite by nature. The Society is duly registered Registrar of Societies, Punjab under Societies Registration Act.
