OMD Master of Physiotherapy (MPT) - The Master of Physiotherapy (MPhty) prepares graduates for professional practice as physiotherapists. Physiotherapists assess, diagnose and treat people with movement problems caused by a wide variety of joint, muscle and nerve disorders. They use a range of drug-free techniques to treat and prevent injuries, and assist their clients to maintain fit and healthy bodies.The MPhty includes studies in neurosciences for physiotherapists, functional musculoskeletal anatomy, musculoskeletal and neurological physiotherapy, and advanced cardiopulmonary. Master of Physiotherapy (MPT) is a two-year, postgraduate professional degree program in India. Therapy is more popularly known as physiotherapy. MPT is an advanced professional course provide practical knowledge and experience which is required for an expert Physiotherapist. The therapist assesses, diagnose and treat a patient with movement problems caused by wide varieties of Joint, Muscle, and Nerve Disorders. The Master’s study is designed to focus on specialized subjects that prepare the professional based on clinical disciplines like Orthopedics, Neurology, Cardio-Respiratory, Sports, Pediatric Neurology, Health and Rehabilitation, Obstetrics and Gynecology. The Master’s Degree program requires 2 years of the time period in India. It’s a Full-Time study professional degree course.

Eligibility

The candidates should have passed Higher Secondary (10+2) Education or an Equivalent Examination, for Science stream and additional subjects like, Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English, minimum 50% marks and Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT) with six months of Internship and also have to clear entrance exam to get admission for pursuing in this program.

Entrance Examination

In India, it is mandatory to give an additional entrance exam for pursuing in, Master of Physiotherapy (MPT) Entrance Examination are conducted on the University basis or on a National basis such as All India Post Graduate Physiotherapy Entrance Test, Common entrance Test of Master’s Program, JIPER All India Entrance examination, etc.
