Certification Horticulture Assistant (CHA) - Horticulture, the cultivation of plants, is by nature a hands-on science and as such is difficult to learn fully through online education. The most common degree needed by horticulturists is a Bachelor of Science, and some of these degree programs are available through distance learning or in a hybrid format of online and in-person classes.Prospective horticulture students who would like to earn a degree in the field may want to consider an on-campus program, since much of the training is practical and can't be easily substituted in an online course of study. However, a few bachelor's degree programs are offered via distance learning.
