Department of Computer Application

The MCA Programmewas started in 2004 under the Self Finance Scheme of the Government of U P. by the CCS University, Meerut in the Department of Mathematics with an aim to provide career oriented computer courses to meet the rapid growth of software development and information technology. The MCA Programme has been approved by AICTE (All India Council for Technical Education) in April 2007 and in Department of Computer Application. The curriculum includes areas of core competence in computers that are reasonably stable and provide sufficient number of electives and laboratories to accommodate changes with time and need. The curriculum has been designed to have the following distribution: Information Technology 30%, Mathematics 13 %, Business Management 13%, Laboratories 24%, and Project & Seminar 20%.

The MCA (Master in Computer Application) programme, a three year post graduate degree course is divided into six semesters

Eligiblity Conditions :

Same as mentioned in the last year’s admission brochure ,namely, Bachelor’s or Equivalent Degree (under 10+2+3 pattern) having 50% marks with Mathematics as compulsory subject at 10+2 level.However, we would like to propose the following in addition to the above If the Bachelor’s degree is BCA , then the requirement of Mathematics as a compulsory subject at 10+2 level be waved off.
