The college was established in 1972 by Mangena Venkata Narasimham, Jana Sanakarayya and Rudraraju Venkata Ramaraju by the Antervedi Palem Firka Development Trust (AFDT) Registered in 1948 with the vision:
"Higher Education for the rural poor in general and the disadvantaged group in particular in the neighbouring villages of Malikipuram".
