Department of Public Administration

The Department of Public Administration is one of the earliest Post-Graduate Departments of this University. Founded in 1970, the Department offers a two- year full time PG course in Public Administration leading to the degree in MPA, a full-time course in Master's degree in Philosophy (M.Phil) in Public Administration and research leading to the degree of Doctor of Philosophy in Public Administration (Ph.D). The Department also offers a three-year evening programme- Part Time MPA Programme for employees in Government and other public organizations. The two year PG programme leading to MPA degree and the Part Time programme are offered under a credit system. This is the only department in the State of Gujarat to offer PG courses in the discipline of Public Administration.
