The Department of Mathematics was established in the year 2006 with the introduction of engineering courses in various disciplines. Mathematics is an integral part of most branches of engineering; all engineers must be able to solve practical engineering problems in mathematical terms. They should also be capable of solving the mathematical models, if necessary with the aid of a computer, and of interpreting the solutions and understanding the practical implications .The department is also offering innovative course in mathematics in the form of B.Sc (Hons ) Influence of mathematics can be experienced in the field of finance, medical science, digital communications and even weather forecasting. As a highly regarded discipline, mathematics is a fascinating subject in its own right An honours degree in Mathematics would qualify a candidate for a satisfying career in engineering as well as business organizations
