The Department came into existence towards the end of 1983, believes in inter- departmental and inter- institutional collaborations. The department is awaiting clinical research unit to be established in collaboration with the clinical department or having its own clinical unit.

Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D)

Objectives

=> To provide specialized clinical services for Neurosychiatric disorders particularly when diagnosis needs to be confirmed.
=> To provide information on study state plasma levels of psychotropic drugs for Clinical Management, Dosage Scheduling, Side Effects, Toxicity, Over dosage and Poisoning.
=> To provide therapeutic drug monitoring.
=> To establish pharmacokinetic database for psychotropic drugs for the Indian population.
