Master of Physiotherapy in Community Physiotherapy

Eligiblity:

Candidates admitted to the Master's degree programme in physiotherapy should have passed the B.P.T. Degree examination of any University accepted by the authority of this university as equivalent.

Course Details:

Master of Physiotherapy in Community Physiotherapy is a two years postgraduate Physiotherapy degree level professional course of study in India. The study is designed to prepare candidates with a good understanding of the principles of lifelong learning and its application in the workplace the course emphasized on extended physiotherapy skills, communication skills, clinical management, health promotion and primary health care.

The master professional study develops a critical attitude based on solid scientific knowledge, skills and behaviour with the fast track learning experience in candidates which are expected with the highly qualified physiotherapist. The course of study is suitable for those candidates wants to increase their knowledge for accelerating their career by exploring and acquire a critical understanding of Community Physiotherapy. The course of study is designed to provide in-depth knowledge, information, techniques and about the activities associated with Physiotherapy, in a comprehensive manner. The study is focused on theoretical and practical aspects and principles techniques in an academic discipline such as WHO Definition of Health & Disease, Health Care Delivery System, Definition of Community, Concepts of Community, Women & Child Care, Geriatrics, Industrial Health, Health Promotion (For Women, Aged, Obese / Overweight individuals, Cardiovascular & Pulmonary Conditions, Musculoskeletal Conditions, Neurological Conditions, Metabolic Condition & Sports Persons).

Eligibility:

The candidate has to complete Bachelor Degree such as Bachelor of Physiotherapy or equivalent examination, with minimum aggregate 55% marks, such candidates are eligible to take admission in Master’s degree study program.

Course Duration / Learning Mode:

This course requires study requires 2 years of time period in India, It’s a Full Time professional degree course, but some candidates use part time, correspondence education program and also go for distance learning, study option to earn this degree.

Further Studies:

After the successful completion of this course, candidates can also pursue the higher studies and do Ph.D. (Doctorate in Community Physiotherapy), and specialization or research oriented work in their respective field.
