=> To have the programming skills needed to retrieve data from external Web sites and data bases and then to organize and store the data in a suitable database format.
=> To have sufficient biological knowledge to relate biological information on gene function and protein structure/function with sequence and genome information and know how to store these data in a suitable format.
=> To stay current on methods of sequence and genome analysis for finding related genes of similar function in different organisms, for analysis of gene regulation, and for prediction of protein structure and function.
=> To Know how to manage and use large data sets such as gene expression micro arrays, proteomics data, and sequence variations in populations.
