The Department of Computer Science and Engineering was set up in the year 1997, following the resounding success of ISM Alumni in the fields of Computer Science and Information Technology. The Department provides an outstanding research environment complemented by superior teaching for its students to flourish in.
The department conducts academic programs leading to the award of B.Tech. in Computer Science & Engineering, M. Tech. in Computer Applications and also Ph. D in both Computer Science and Computer Science & engineering. The admission to the B. Tech. and M. Tech. courses are through prestigious IIT-JEE and GATE respectively. Ph. D candidates are selected on the basis of All India Examination conducted by ISM.
The Department boasts of highly qualified faculty who are active members of reputed national and international societies. They are instrumental in the research publications and in reviewing papers in many leading journal. The major research areas include Parallel and Distributed Algorithms, Interconnection Networks, VLSI Design, Cellular Automata, Network Security, Mobile Communication and Computational Biology.
