Course Details:

The Master of Pharmacy in Quality Assurance (M.Pharm. Quality Assurance), is a two years Postgraduate Pharmacy Degree Course in India. The master's study is designed to provide knowledge and skills of quality assurance like planning and systematic activities implemented in a quality system so that quality requirements for a product or service will be fulfilled candidates can learn the components of a quality assurance program like goals, benchmarks, leadership and motivation. The quality assurance related to specialities in manufacturing food, service or pharmaceuticals. Degree holder can act as a catalyst for change and improvement in performance, quality, directing objectives to maximize profitability, recording analyzing and distributing statistical information.

The study develops strong interpersonal skills so that he is able to maintain a cohesive team who work in collaboration, required skills for the course are confidence, excellent technical skills, organisational skills, planning skills, interpersonal skill, communication skills, problem-solving skills, and team working skills.

Quality assurance is a planned and systematic activities implemented in a quality system so that quality requirements for a product or service will be fulfilled. Candidates to learn the components of a quality assurance program like goals, benchmarks, leadership and motivation.The study is focused on theoretical and practical aspects of Principles and Techniques in academic discipline such as Analytical Techniques, Product Development, Biological Evaluation, Quality Management, Computing & Statistics, Packaging, Validation Project and Dissertation Work.

Eligibility

The candidates have to pass their Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm), Education with the minimum aggregate of 50% or an Equivalent Examination, with Biology / Biotechnology as one of the subject, such candidates and Diploma of Pharmacy holders are also eligible. In some States of India, it is mandatory to give an additional Pharmacy Entrance Examination like Common Entrance Test or interview and asked few questions on General Knowledge, Personality, Intelligence Assessment and English Language.

Course Duration / Learning Mode

The Master’s study course requires 2 years of the time period in India. It's a full-time study program, but some institutes also provide part-time learning facilities. There are a number of recognized Universities Worldwide offering online study program and distance learning option in certain criteria.

Further Studies

After the successful completion of this course, candidates can also pursue the higher studies and do Ph. D in Pharmacy (Quality Assurance) Doctorate of Pharmacy in Quality Assurance or research-oriented course in their respective field.

Career Option

After obtaining a Pharmacy Degree and Registering with the State pharmacy Council (SPC), one can start their own Pharmacy or Chemist shop to stock and sell medicines.
