Course Details:

Doctorate of Medicine (DM. Neurology), is a three years post doctorate Neurology Medical Doctorate Degree level course of study in India. Neurology is a medical specialized field dealing with disorder of the nervous system. The aim of the Doctorate study program to prepare candidates who are able to deal with the diagnosis and treatment of all categories of diseases involving the central peripheral and autonomic nervous system including their coverings, blood vessels and all effectors tissue like muscle.

The course prepare candidates with the components of the curriculum which are undertaken during the course includes theoretical knowledge, practical and clinical skills, attitudes like communication skills and knowledge about research methodology with the special capability of performing and interpreting special investigations such as, Polysomnography, Video EEG Monitoring, EEG Telemetry, Autonomic Function Tests, Transcranial Doppler Testes, etc.

The course of study is suitable for those candidates wants to increase their knowledge for accelerating their career by exploring and acquire a critical understanding of the Neurology. The course of study is designed to provide in-depth knowledge, information, techniques and about the activities associated with Neurology, in a comprehensive manner. The study is focused on theoretical and practical aspects and principles techniques in an academic discipline such as

Neurology in ( Anatomy, Physiology, Biology, Chemistry, Pharmacology, Pathology, Microbiology, Toxicology, Genetics, and Proteomics), Neuroimmunologic Diseases, Neurogenetic Disorders, Developmental Disorder of Nervous System, Pediatric Neurology, Cognitive Neurology and Neuropsychiatry, Advanced in Neuroimaging Techniques.

Eligibility:

The candidate has to complete Bachelor and Master’s Degree in Medicine such as (MD in General Medicine), (DNB in General Medicine or Paediatric Medicine), or equivalent examination, with minimum aggregate 60% marks, such candidates are eligible to take admission in Post Doctorate Degree level study program.
In some reputed Universities and Medical Institution of Country selection of candidates are made on the basis of an entrance examination and interviews in both theory and clinical assessment. The selected on the merits bases.

Course Duration / Learning Mode:

This course requires study requires 3 years of time period in India, It’s a Full Time professional degree course, but some candidates use part time, correspondence education program and also go for distance learning, study option to earn this degree.

The Master degree holder have excellent career opportunities in Colleges & Universities, Private clinical Practices and also go for Clinical Research & Experiment oriented work or provide services in Neuro-Consultancy Agencies, Rehabilitation Centers, Mental Health Management Clinics, etc.
