Diploma in Public Health (DPH) - Diploma in Public Health (DPH) is designed to develop public health skills at the postgraduate level. Candidates are required to hold a degree or to have appropriate professional qualifications and experience.The programme is taught as an internal (on campus) programme in the University’s three medical schools. It consists of four papers, two of which as compulsory. Two others may be selected from six options, including a special topic.Public Health provides the knowledge and skills necessary to address diverse global public health issues. The course covers promoting health and prevention of diseases; the provision and evaluation of treatment and care; and the investigation and control of environmental threats to health. The emphasis is on the use, development and evaluation of conceptual models, methods of analysis, and practical, effective interventions.
