Typically, B.E.(Biotechnology) is a four year course, minimum eligibility for which is an intermediate (10+2) with subjects such as physics, maths, biology and chemistry. Biotechnology is a combination of Biology and Technology and is an applied science. Subjects studied under this degree are Microbiology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Genetics and Engineering.Biotechnology is the use of living systems and organisms to develop or make useful products, or "any technological application that uses biological systems, living organisms or derivatives thereof, to make or modify products or processes for specific use. Depending on the tools and applications, it often overlaps with the (related) fields of bioengineering and biomedical engineering.
