Located in The Institute is established in the year 2001, under the auspices of Karapaga Vinayaga Eduacational Trust at GST Road,Adjacent to NH-45, near by Maduranthagam, Kancheepuram Dist., in Tamilnadu. It is occupying the sprawling area of 63 acres with independent RCC structures housing various educational, instructional, laboratory and workshop areas along with allied necessary structures like boys and girls hostels, Hygenic canteens,Modernised Gymnasium etc.The formation of the Trust was initiated by the philanthropic spurts exerted by Thiru S. Regupathy, former Minister for State for Home in association with a group of like -minded patrons who are best regarded for their bountiful services to the promotion of education. The avowed objective of the Trust was to provide facilities for innovative higher education with vocational bias., The College unflinchingly marches towards its ultimate dream of becoming a deemed university . Having established an Arts and Science college of excellence, the trust deemed it fit to start an Engineering college and the Karpaga Vinayaga College of Engineering and Technology (KVCET) took birth. The college is equipped with modern amenities and facilities. Spread over a picturesque campus beautifully landscaped with lawns, trees making it very eco-friendly. The pleasant surroundings of the campus promote a good atmosphere for concentration and studying., Spread in an area of 63 acres, KVCET The main building is a stupendous structure with a built-up plinth area of 2 lakh sq.ft cater to the needs, convenience and comfort of the students. Thirty class rooms, a well-stacked library, sophisticated laboratories, 2 workshops, air conditioned computer centres with broadnand internet facility, conference halls, canteen and a student amenity area are housed in the main building. Morethan 600 Pentium IV, Dual core computers with latest configuration are available in campus to satisfy the needs of students in laboratories, Library and Hostels. 8 Mbps Leased line Internet connection is availble round the clock with Hardware firewall and dedicated servers working 24 hours a day for safe and secure browsing. All computers are provided with network connection through ethernet, fiber backbone and Wi-fi . All computer labs have been air conditioned and well maintained. Peripherals such as laser printer, inkjet printers, dot matrix printers, line printers and multimedia kits are available. Campus agreement has also been made with Microsoft. Internet browsing is allowed for students from 09.00a.m to 06.30p.m on all days. Laptops will be issued to all PG students and Wi-Fi connectivity is provided for the same.The College unflinchingly marches towards its ultimate dream of becoming a deemed university .
