About Department: The Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Priyadarshini Institute of Engineering and Technology (PIET) is established in the year 2002 with an intake of 60. It is approved by All India council for Technical Education, New Delhi. Director of Technical Education, Mumbai, and is affiliated to Rashtrasant Tukdoji Maharaj Nagpur University. During a Short span of Six Years, Department has established itself as one of the promising department and recently Accredited by National Board of Accreditation, AICTE, New Delhi. PG in Computer Science has started from 2011with an intake of 60 for UG & 18 for PG. The head of the department is Dr. A.R. Mahajan.

Master of Computer Applications (MCA)

About Department : The MCA department was established in 2008 with an intake of 60 students, since then its growth rate is rapid. It has witnessed a number of proud moments of excellence in academics, research activities and cast it's place in the field of IT. The Department consists of experienced and skilled faculties to guide the students in the right way to develop the career. The department adopts a policy in which a strong focus is given on students' academic performance and overall personality development. Needless to say, this college takes utmost care to nurture the software skills in the budding software engineers by conducting various training programmes in high-end technologies and giving hands-on projects with active assistance from its teaching staff. The department is having well equipped air conditioned laboratories with 87 P IV machines with student to terminal ratio as 1:1 with emergency power Stabilizer facility. The department has 3 well-equipped laboratories with well established Network under the control of high potential servers with server side software like Windows 2007 server, Oracle server etc. Prof.(Mrs.)L.H.Patil is Head of the department.

About Course :
Communication is a rapid developing trend and globally required in this world. Study and research in various communication techniques are very much needed in today’s advanced applications. It can be easily and immediately accepted in diversified fields such as industries, biomedical science, defense, communication and above all for the community services. Hence it is necessary to generate as much expert professionals as possible with specialization in communication. Aiming at the same.

Syllabus:

Semester–I: Optical Communication, Computer Communication Network, Advanced DSP, VLSI Signal Processing, Error Control Coding.

Semester–II: Advanced Digital Satellite Communication, Digital Image Processing, Digital System Design, Advanced Communication System, Elective I (Fuzzy & Neural Network, Multimedia Communication System, DSP Processor and Architecture).

Semester–III: Signal Processing & Smart Antenna for Wireless Communication, Elective II (Embedded System, Micro Strip Integrated Circuits, Modern Radar System), Project Seminar.

Semester–IV: Thesis and Defense.

Future Scope : Chemical Engineering is the branch of engineering that deals with the application of physical science (e.g. Chemistry and Physics), with Mathematics to the process of converting raw materials or chemicals into more useful or valuable forms. Modern Chemical engineering is also concerned with pioneering valuable new materials and techniques such as nanotechnology, fuel cells and biomedical engineering. Chemical engineering largely involves the design and maintenance of chemical processes for large scale manufacture.

About Department : The department of chemical engineering established in the year 2000 has already turned out three batches of students and is well equipped with modern machinery and process control equipment. It is one of the best established disciplines in the region. Since biotechnology has close links with chemical engineering in areas such as reactor design, processing and modeling it is being visualized an extension of the department of chemical engineering.

The development of the large-scale processes characteristic of industrialized economies is a feat of chemical engineering. Indeed, chemical engineers are responsible for the availability of the modern high-quality materials that are essential for running an industrial economy. Bachelor of Engineering (BE Mechanical Engineering)

Future Scope: Mechanical engineering is one of the largest, broadest, and oldest engineering disciplines. Mechanical engineers use the principles of energy, materials, and mechanics to design and manufacture machines and devices of all types. They create the processes and systems that drive technology and industry. The key characteristics of the profession are its breadth, flexibility, and individuality.

Mechanical engineers research, develop, design, manufacture, and test tools, engines, machines, and other mechanical devices. They work on power-producing machines such as electric generators, internal combustion engines, and steam and gas turbines. They also develop power-using machines such as refrigeration and air-conditioning equipment, machine tools, material handling systems, elevators and escalators, industrial production equipment, and robots used in manufacturing. Mechanical engineers also design tools that other engineers need for their work. The field of nanotechnology, which involves the creation of high-performance materials and components by integrating atoms and molecules, is introducing entirely new principles to the design process.

Computers assist mechanical engineers by accurately and efficiently performing computations, and by permitting the modeling and simulation of new designs as well as facilitating changes to existing designs. Computer-Aided Design (CAD) and Computer-Aided Manufacturing (CAM) are used for design data processing and for turning the design into a product.

About Department: Mechanical Engineering Department is established in 2011. The intake of UG Course is 60. The head of the department is Prof. P. V. Washimkar. All Faculties of the department are Post Graduate & pursuing their doctoral research. The faculties of the department are having high teaching & industrial experience. The Workshop, with an area of 400 sq.m, has a separate building. It has four major sections namely fitting, carpentry, welding, smithy. It is fully equipped with tools, instruments, machines.

Future Scope : Biomedical Engineering blends traditional engineering techniques with biological sciences and medicine to improve the quality of human health and life. It focuses both on understanding complex living systems via experimental and analytical techniques and on development of devices, methods and algorithms that advance medical and biological knowledge while improving the effectiveness and delivery of clinical medicine.

Biomedical engineering has been a critical component of the technological advances in medicine and health care delivery that has dramatically transformed the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of disease in the last few decades. Whether in the area of biomedical imaging, bio-signal processing, medical instrumentation, biomechanics, biomaterials and implants, drug delivery, or cell and tissue engineering, these advances are continuing to accelerate.

Future Scope : Electronics & Communication Engineering is a discipline dealing with the behaviour and effects of electrons (as in electron tubes, transistors and ICs) and with electronic device, systems, or equipment. The applications of electronics are in a wide range of products, including consumer electronics; telecommunications; diagnostics and treatment devices for medicine; audio and video; control; computing; data storage and retrieval; photography; measurement and metrology equipment; aviation and avionics; manufacturing; natural resource extraction; and early warning and radar.
