The Spanish Centre of Chowgule College, Margao has announced the commencement of new batches of Spanish language classes. The new batch of Spanish Basic A1.1 level will commence from Monday, 20th Classes will be held on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 3-30 to 5-30 p.m. or from 6-00 to 8-00 p.m. depending on the convenience of maximum number of students. It will involve 60 hours of learning spread over ten weeks. Examination will be conducted in December, 2014.
The course will be conducted by Spanish national Ms. Edith Aurrecoechea, an expert in the subject.

September, 2014 and will be conducted at the college premises.
Classes will begin from September, 2014 onwards every Wednesday & Friday from 4.00 to 6.00 pm, or 5-00 to 8-00 pm or 6-00 to 9-00 pm. The timings are flexible.
Discussion Forum on ‘Listen to Your Child’ held at Chowgule College
A discussion forum on ‘Listen to Your Child’ was recently organised by the Department of Psychology, Chowgule College, Margao at their college premises.
Dr. Belinda Muella, Psychiatrist, Ms. Brenda D’cruz, Principal of Manovikas School, Vishwanath Swar, Professor at M.E.S. College and Advocate Prasanna Timble, Professor at Kare College, Mrs. Almeida, Former Principal of Kings School were invited as chief guests for the event.
The annual business festival of Goa Institute of Management (GIM), Samriddhi, was recently held at the institute’s Sanquelim campus. This year, the theme for Samriddhi was ‘The Game Changers’ which featured achievers who made it big in their respective fields and significantly changed the game. A wide range of events, workshops and simulation games were also organised that attracted participants from institutes all over the country.
The Career and Personal Counseling Centre of Chowgule College, Margao is organising a workshop on Effective Study Habits for students of X, XI and XII at the college premises. The workshop will be held on Monday 1st September, 2014 from 10.00 a.m. to 4.00 p.m.
The purpose of the workshop is to help students set goals, make schedules, discover suitable study styles and learn different methods of studying. The workshop will help students to formulate techniques that will make studying effective for better results.

As a tribute to its founder Vishwasrao Chowgule, Chowgule College celebrates Founders Day on the 25th of August each year, at the college campus. This year the college will host Padma Shri Milkha Singh at the college campus to share his experiences and interact with students.
National Institute of Technology Puducherry (NIT-Py) has been given the "Award of Excellence" by CCI Technology Education Awards 2014. The award was conferred by Gujarat Technological University and Communication Multimedia and Infrastructure Association of India in Karaikal.
Bhupendra Singh Chudasame, The Minister of Higher and Technical Education of Gujarat, presented the award to Dr Mrs S K Pandey, director, NIT-Py on July 19 at Ahmedabad.
