India International School organized Annual Award Ceremony to felicitate students who excelled in different fields on Monday at school auditorium. Mr. Rakesh Verma, IAS, Additional Chief Secretary graced the occasion as the chief guest.
The program commenced with Goddess Saraswati Vandana followed by a classical dance performance. Later, the chief guest and the Director Dr. Ashok Gupta felicitated the awardees under the different categories.
Aastha Bardia of class 12 and Samriddhi Kejriwal of class 11 of India International School, Jaipur brought laurels to the school in the International Commerce Olympiad 2014.
Ashtha secured 98.30% while Samriddhi Kejriwal got 97.90% at the Olympiad conducted by the Commerce Teachers’ Foundation, New Delhi. Both the girls got top positions in the school.
The result of the Olympiad conducted on 28th November 2014 was recently declared in which at around 30,000 shown their participation from all over the country.
The annual national level HR Symposium of Goa Institute Management (GIM), Anveshan was recently held at the institute’s campus. This year the theme of Anveshan was ‘Thought Leadership’ due to the ardent belief that as management students and future members of the workforce, it is imperative that the attitudes reflect an inherent desire to ideate, innovate, execute, and make a difference in the society. Keeping this theme in mind, various events were designed.
Saurabh Kumar Singh , a student of second year B.Tech Computer Science Engineering of Rajasthan Institute of Engineering & Technology (RIET) Jaipur, one of the renowned Engineering and Management Institution in Rajasthan has been selected for the post of “National Referee for Taekwondo” in recently held National Kyurugi Referee seminar by the Taekwondo Federation of India in New Delhi. Saurabh Kumar Singh is a Black Belt in Taekwondo.
The Department of English of the IIS University has organized a ‘Second All India IISU English Debate’ on Saturday at IIIM auditorium.
The topic of the debate was a very contemporary one ‘In the opinion of the house, an inclusive society will always remain a dream’.
The main objective of organizing this event was to provide a nationwide platform to the students from various colleges and universities across the country where they can not only express their thoughts but also enhance and showcase their oratorical skills on such a huge platform.
The Department of Physics of The IIS University has organized a two days conference on “Recent Trends in Microwave Techniques and Optical Communication” on Wednesday.
While inaugurating the conference, the Vice-Chancellor of the university took pride to extend the warm greetings to the speakers, delegates, research scholars and he also extended hopes that this conference will set high standards of research and training towards microwave techniques and optical communication.
