CBSE is a national-level board. The board has been controlled and managed by the Union Government of India. There are around 19,316 schools in India and 211 schools in 25 foreign countries affiliated with the CBSE. The board has instructed the affiliated schools to follow the NCERT schools. Its headquarter is present in New Delhi.

Let’s get into little bit history of CBSE. The first board which came into existence in the country was the Uttar Pradesh Board of High School and Intermediate Education. It was established in the year 1921 and was established under the jurisdiction of Rajputana, Central India, and Gwalior. Then in the year 1929, a joint Board was set up named as Board of High School and Intermediate Education, Rajputana. But later, in the year 1952, it became the Central Board of Secondary Education.

Objectives of the CBSE Board

The board aims to provide stress-free and child-centered education. The board provides holistic education to the students. CBSE adopts various unique and student-friendly ways to teach the students. The purpose of this board is to provide a quality education so that the students set benchmarks in life and can live successful life.
