Department of Civil Engineering

The department of Civil Engineering of the Tezpur University was established in the year 2009 under the School of Engineering with 16 students for offering B.Tech Degree. PhD progamme was initiated in winter, 2010. The department aims to provide quality educational, research and professional experiences that enable our graduates to become leaders in their professional careers, to pursue excellence in research, and to serve the profession, community and nation, and to be competitive in the international scene.

The vision of the CE program is to consolidate the existing B. Tech programme, expand the research programme and to start an M.Tech programme. The vision is to establish these programmes as outstanding programes of regional and international reputation for providing a quality engineering education, excellent research and services to the profession and the community; to produce top-quality civil engineers; and to employ principles of continual quality improvement to enhance its programmes.
