To give a scientific bias to the development of Modern Tamil by bringing out Publications on science and technology and to popularise science through Tamil to create a scientifc temper among the general public and to make them aware of the scientific advancement and technological progress. Chosen books on Science and Technology are being translated under the aegis of the Department.

Objectives

=> To publish Scientific Tamil Text books for professional courses.
=> To prepare Scientific Terminology in Tamil for various science subjects like Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology, Engineering etc.
=> To popularize science through Tamil and to make aware of scientific achievements and technological progress.
=> To conduct seminars, refresher courses, workshops and training courses.
