HEC is approved by All India Council for Technical Education AICTE, an apex body which has been established by an Act of Parliament Act 52 of 1987. The college is affiliated to Anna University. The college is internationally recognized with a certificate by GIC Guardian Independent Certification and Accreditation by Joint Accreditation System of Australia and New Zealand JAS-ANZ in the year 2010.

Holycross Engineering College is situated in Thoothukudi in Tamil Nadu state of India. it is accredited from AICTE and it is affiliated to Anna University. HCEC, Thoothukudi offers 7 courses across 1 streams namely Engineering and across 2 degrees like , MTech. Hostel facility is not available for its students. Additional campus facilities such as Academic Zone, Auditorium, Boys Hostel, Canteen, Computer Lab, Education Festival, Girls Hostel, Gym, Mess, Library are also there.
