The Department of Civil Engineering pulls out all stops to create outstanding engineers - with advanced teaching techniques and learning aids for students and state of the art research facilities for postgraduate students and doctoral candidates. As Civil Engineering is the segment of the engineering profession that provides the basic engineering need of the nation, the department is making efforts in theory as well as in practice to educate the students in this perspective. The department is now fully equipped with Geotechnical Engineering Lab, Concrete Lab, Transportation Engineering Lab, Geoinformatics Lab, Modern Survey Lab and Structural Analysis Lab.

The addition of Electronic Theodolite, Total Stations, Digital Survey 3D Mapping, CAD Drawing and CAD Design enable to compete with latest global trends in Civil Engineering discipline.
