The department of horticulture is catering to the requirement of teaching, research and extension in the field of Pomology, Olericulture, floriculture, spices, medicinal and aromatic plants. The department is having strength of 7 faculty members. The department is providing Master and Doctorate degrees in Horticulture. The department is also engaged in teaching of UG Horticultural courses. The research facilities include 12.21 ha Horticultural Research Center, field laboratory, PG laboratory etc. The mandate of the department is to impart quality teaching to PG students, to develop cost effective and eco-friendly production technology, production of quality saplings and improved varieties of horticultural crops for Western Uttar Pradesh.

=> Studies of time and intensity of shoot pruning on mango malformation.
=> Effect of fruit pedicel on storage behavior of mango.
Research Projects on Vegetables & Spices :
=> Collection, maintenance and evaluation of germplasm of seed spices.
=> Varietal trial on Coriander, Louage (Ajwain), Fenugreek, Kalaunji (Nigella), Soya (Dill Seed) & Fennel.
=> Effect of growth regulators on growth and yield of Garlic (Allium sativum).cv G-1.
=> Collection, maintenance and evaluation of germplasm of Garlic.
=> Collection and evaluation of Parwal germplasm (Trichosanthes dioica).
=> Effect of foliar feeding of Molybdenum and Boron on growth and yield of Broccoli.
Research Projects on Floricultural Crops :
=> Studies of integrated nutrient management on flower production of A frican marigold.
=> Collection and evaluation germplasm of marigold according to season.
=> Response of planting time on flower production of French marigold.
=> Collection and evaluation of ger mplasm of marigold according to season.
=> Isolation of Active Ingredient in African & French Marigold.
=> Collection and evaluation Dahlia of germplasm.
=> Evaluation of gladiolus germplasm for Western Uttar Pradesh.
