Department of Pharmaceutics
The Department of Pharmaceutics is one of three academic departments in the College of Pharmacy. The department's primary academic mission is to provide students in the professional pharmacy program with both a theoretical and a practical knowledge base in the pharmaceutical sciences teaching, coupled with research, is the primary activity at the Department. The Department has experienced and highly qualified staff members who have been exposed to collaboration with national and international universities; institutions and companies. In future the department of pharmaceutics is focusing mainly on Preformulation studies and design of various dosage forms.
There are three labs in the department where the students learn and practice about formulation, dispensing and labeling of various dosage forms. The department consists of three labs including Pharmaceutical technology lab and dispensing lab, One research laboratory for M.Pharm. students has also been established where the students are exposed to manufacturing and evaluation of various dosage forms.
