This diploma offers a broad-based training in biological, chemical and pharmaceutical sciences. The modules will cover topics ranging from anatomy, physiology, pathology and pharmacology to drug manufacturing, medicinal chemistry, drug discovery and clinical trials.
You will also learn how to run pharmacies through modules such as pharmacy practice, pharmacy management and logistics.
In your final year, an exclusive one-year training stint with the Pharmacy Department of the National University Hospital will give you the added edge. This extensive internship will feature attachments with pharmacies in the cancer centre and satellite wards, the clinical trials unit, the aseptic dispensing and compounding lab, and others – all designed to get you learning directly from practising doctors and pharmacists!
Finally, you will get to take up a research project based on pharmacy practice as well as an elective in either Nutraceuticals & Functional Foods or Complementary Medicine & Traditional Chinese Medicine.
