It is one of the educatinal hub of eastern Uttar Pradesh, in 1987 as a residential-cum-affiliating university, it is named after Late Shri Veer Bahadur Singh, the former Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh. Started with the 69 affiliated colleges, the university now has widened it’s spectrum of activities with 235 affiliated graduate and post-graduate colleges and students enrollment of nearly 300 thousands in 12 Districts of Eastern Uttar Pradesh.
