Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering
The department of Electronics & Communication Engineering has established from 2007 and its academic programme started since August, 2008. Presently department is conducting 4 yrs. (8 Semester) Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) course and proposes to start Master of Technology (M.Tech) and Ph.D. programs with diverse specializations in near future. The primary focus would be to impart quality education to the students with required practical inputs and Industrial training under "University-Industry" interaction. At present there are three regular Faculties in the department and recruitment of other faculty members will be taken up soon. There are eight laboratories in the department and many more laboratories will be set up soon. Presently total intake capacity of each batch is 30. Admission is done through CCB-AIEEE and MZUEEE (Mizoram University Engineering Entrance Examination) counseling, 50 % seats for AIEEE and 50 % seats for MZUEEE. Lateral Entry for such diploma holders will be allowed in the Second year (Third Semester) level, if seats are available through MZUEEE.
