Under the faculty of Education one year M.Ed., course has been commenced from the academic year 2004-05. New subjects like Educational Technology and Elementary Education have been introduced as optional subjects considering the market demand. National council for teacher Education (NCTE) Southern Region has recognized the M.Ed. Course of our University considering the available facilities and infrastructure. Most of our M.Ed graduates have secured placements in different reputed D.Ed and B.Ed., Colleges.
The department has produced Ph. D and M.Phils. The research work carried out so far in the department has been published in different national and international journals. Karnataka public service commission has selected 5 students from this department to the post of lecturer in education in the year 2007. so far many of our students have successfully completed UGC/NET examination.
