The Department of Humanities offers courses in Communication Skills, Economics, Management Studies, Introduction to Social Sciences and Ethics, etc. Here, we firmly believe in developing the interpersonal communication between teachers and students as well as creating an environment that will synergistic ally link science to the betterment of the society. As a whole, the department aims at developing an awareness regarding various issues concerning society and to bring in an all-enhancing and holistic development of the students.

The Communication Skills course aims at the development of self confidence and personality development of the students through Communication in English. We have a language lab with full-fledged facilities, which ultimately helps the students to foster their listening, writing, reading and speaking skills. The course on Economics plays a key role by introducing the students to the world of economics, including the basics of micro, macro and development economics. The courses are designed to introduce non-specialist students to some of the central principles of economics, current global economic development, business and markets. Management Studies helps the students to accomplish desired goals and objectives through a meticulous learning and practicing of management techniques. Introduction to Social Sciences and Ethics concentrates in introducing the fundamentals of Sociology, Anthropology, History and Ethics. It hold a promise of quality, value and social sensitivity and aims at moulding men and women who can contribute to national development and knowledge building. As part of this course regular field trips are conducted .
