n 1968, Late Govidraoji Sitaramji Tompe founded the 'G.S.Tompe Mahavidyalaya Sarvajanik Trust' at Chandur Bazar. The reason behind it was that founder President Late Govidraoji Sitaramji Tompe resident of chandur bazar, was illiterate. In fact to speak about him as illiterate is injustice to him. Because generally illiterate people do not have the foresight which require to have to provide the education to the poor students of nearby areas. Rather it would be proper to speak of him unschooled.
