S.C.R. Polytechnic is started in 2007, as a Self-Financed Institute by Sir Chotu Ram Educational Society in the memory of Sir Chotu Ram. The Institution is situated in village Gohiya (Jind) and is affiliated to the Haryana State Board of Technical Education. S.C.R. Polytechnic has emerged as a Polytechnic of Excellence during the past few decades.S.C.R. Polytechnic College, is one of the leading polytechnic in the State of Haryana. It was established in 2007 and began offering diploma courses. The institution has been named after the great Indian leader Sir Chotu Ram. The college has been the vanguard of continuous development in technical education since its inception.

The oldest technical institution of Northern India. The depth of our roots in the field of Technical Education, the 3rd generation of our alumni is in the service of the nation. Hence, we can say that our objective is to create a breed of qualified, innovative and dynamic professionals for Government, Corporate and service sectors. In addition to academic development, sufficient opportunities are provided to the students like cultural activities, sports activities, NCC, NSS activity and our students are getting good positions in the state level competitions. Presently Civil Engg., Mechanical Engg., Electrical Engg., Electronics & Communication Engg. & Computer Engg. courses are being conducted in the institution. All the courses are AICTE approved courses and the institution is affiliated with State Board of Technical Education, Haryana. The admissions to the courses is made through State level entrance examinations and counseling procedure. The Institute has spacious architecturally designed lecture and tutorial rooms, airy and electric gadgets, glossy chalkboards and flannel boards all intact, furnished with adequate modern furniture.
