The College was started at Nashik by the Gokhale Education Society in the year 1957. The B.Y.K. ( Sinnar ) College of Commerce (BYKCC) started working from 20th June 1957. It admits students to the Three Year B.Com degree course and post –graduate programme M. Com. It is a recognized center for research in Commerce, of the University of Pune for offering Ph.D. It is also an M.Phil Research Programme center recognized by Yashwantrao Chavan Maharashtra Open University, Nashik. It has also introduced BBA, BCA and BFT courses since 2004 and also introduced M.Com(e-Commerce), MCA from the year 2009-10.It has also started self financed BBA and BFT courses. The College provides facilities for teaching Advanced Cost Accounting, Advanced Accounting, Auditing, and Business Administration as special subjects at M.Com level. By offering facilities for higher education in Commerce and Management Science, the College has fulfilled the long-felt need for such education in North Maharashtra. The College has acquired reputation of its own in the field of higher education in Commerce and Management. The college was granted permanent affiliation after six years of working since its establishment by University of Pune in June 1963.This is the only single Faculty College in India under commerce stream selected for the Restructured Programme at the undergraduate level for 2500 students in June 1983., This college is one of the amongst 200 colleges selected at all India level by University Grants Commission (UGC) for introducing Vocationalisation of First Degree Education from June 1994., Vision, Our quest is to develop managers and entrepreneurs for tomorrow, possessing managerial skills, acumen and passion to lead their organization to compete in the global environment and emerge as responsible corporate citizens., Mission, Building an entrepreneurial culture through innovative value–based quality commerce education.
