Master of Engineering (ME), is a two-year Postgraduate Technical Master’s Degree Program in India. The advanced technical study emphasized in-depth concept related to plain engineering and theoretical research.In India (AICTE), All India Council of Technical Education, (UGC) University Grand Commission and Government of India are responsible for approving Engineering Colleges and Branches / Courses. Those Universities which have been approved by theses bodies can award master’s degree which are legally valid and accepted as qualifiers for jobs in the Central, State Government and also in Private Sector.

The course is suitable for those candidates wants to accelerate their profession with higher studies and wants to upgrade their knowledge and technical skills, whether they may be from any stream like Chemical, Civil, Industrial, Mechanical Software, Electronic Engineering.

candidates can pursue Master of Engineering (ME), and go specialization in fields like Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Infrastructure System, Instrumentation Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, Structural Engineering, Automobile Engineering, etc.

This course requires 2 years of time period in India. It’s a full time degree course, but some student use part-time and distance learning the educational program in certain criteria.

Eligibility

The candidate who have completed Bachelor Degree like Bachelor of Engineering (BE) or an Equivalent Examination with minimum 50% marks, such candidates are eligible to take admission in master's study program. Selection is based on merit.

Further Study

After the successful completion of master’s degree course, candidates can pursue for, M.Phil, Ph.D. (Doctorate of Philosophy) Degree or do specialization and research oriented work in Nuclear Power Center, Aeronautical Firms, Chemical Industries, Defence Services and also for Quality Testing Laboratories.
