Bachelor of Arts (BA) is a 3-year bachelor's degree program in India awarded for an undergraduate course in liberal arts.

A Bachelor of Arts (BA) is an undergraduate degree program that typically focuses on the liberal arts and humanities. In India, BA programs are offered by various universities and colleges and typically take three years to complete. The course curriculum includes a range of subjects, such as history, literature, sociology, economics, political science, and more. The arts and humanities course gives an insight of cultural understanding and awareness. Arts has numerous majors to choose from including literature, history and political science.

In India, regional universities offer Arts courses in local languages for students. These courses offer historical, cultural and linguistic courses in a language spoken by the majority of the population of that state or region. BA Honours
Honours courses in BA are offered by several universities across India.

To be eligible for a BA program in India, students must have completed their higher secondary education (12th grade) with a minimum percentage of marks required by the university or college. Admission to BA programs is usually based on the student's performance in the higher secondary examination. Some universities and colleges may also conduct entrance exams or interviews to select candidates for the program.

Graduates who have successfully completed BA programs can further their study by option for postgraduate programs in Arts.

After the successful completion of this course, candidates can pursue the higher studies program and enroll for (Honours in BA), and also go with a Postgraduate program, Master of Arts (MA), and continue specialized study in their related subjects.
