Admission Notices

    CMR Centre for Media and Management Studies [CMR CMMS] has highly qualified and motivated staff. The students are given adequate exposure to co-curricular activities in addition to regular class room lectures by in-house and invited experienced professionals. The normal activities include seminars, paper presentation, guest lectures by senior executives from the industry, industrial visits of National & International nature and Soft skill programmes.

    The Class rooms and seminar halls match hi-tech standards; a well-stocked library with books related to the curricula and research as well as national and international journals caters for the need of the students. The library is kept open till 9.30 pm on all working days. Our Computer lab facility with internet access enables the students to work beyond college hours to equip themselves well with the need of the hour. We have Wi-Fi wireless networking provision to facilitate internet access within the campus at any given time.

    Introduction
    In the present world of fast changing technology, particularly in the field of television , training the students to cope with new trends and developments, especially with job opportunities, has assumed great importance. This post-graduate program prepares students for careers in Electronic media. The new trends and developments in media are taught in order to equip the students to be eligible for specialist jobs at various media houses. The course content is comprehensive and is in tune with the latest industry standards. The programme intends to completely cover up for the rigors of the industry with intense training modules being a part of the course. They are encouraged to participate in the video documenting of all the major events and programmes of the college like seminars, workshops, conferences, meets and cultural events.

    This is a 2 Year course covering Introduction to electronic media, TV and Development , Writing for the Electronic media, Script-writing for TV and Radio, Basic Television Production Techniques , General awareness of production roles, Cinematography, Graphics and Animation, 3D modeling, Web Designing, Video Editing, Sound Recording, Production of News Bulletin and Reporting, Production of Advertising and Corporate Films, Media Research, New Communication Technologies, and Media Laws and Ethics. The students also undertake research for a documentary, short film, and produce their own documentary, short film during the final semester. Various other projects are also undertaken during the course like making ad-films, corporate films, news production (TV and Radio), RJ-ing, VJ-ing, Radio Drama, Interviews, etc.
