      About Area Education Society College, Tarbha

      Our college the beacon-light of higher education in the entire Blo0ck of Tarbha was born on 16th August 1980- the day following the 34th celebration of India's Independence. It was inaugurated by Sri Gangadhar Mohapatra, the then minister of Education Govt. of Orissa. It started functioning as an intermediate college with Arts and Commerce stream in the F.R.C. Club House of Tarbha and later acquisition of Girls High School Hostel Building for the purpose, it was shifted its present premises.

      Bachelors Degree Courses

      Bachelor of Science (BSc)

      With the introduction of the New Course Structure (Arts & Science) from the academic session 2008-2009 basically to de-stress students joining +2 course under the CHSE, Orissa, there will be yearly examinations at the end of the 1st year and 2nd year classes. 1st year & 2nd year courses have been separated accordingly. The 1st year examination will be conducted at the college/ H.S School level for 100 marks in each subject and the 2nd year examination will be conducted at the council level for 100 marks in each subject. Marks secured in the 1st year examination shall be considered only for promotion of students to the 2nd year class and will have no bearing on the terminal examination, conducted by the Council at the 2nd year.

      Bachelor of Arts (BA)

      The Environmental Education will be assessed at the college level for 100 marks (70 marks for theory & 30 marks for project work) at the end of 1st year +2 course and the grade (A+, A, B, C, D, in order of merit) are to be awarded by the College and the same shall be recorded in the body of the pass certificate given by the council of subsequently. The grade secured in the Environmental Education (EE) will not affect the result of the candidate.
