The department of Mechanical Engineering started in 1984, right from the inception of the institute, is one of the oldest departments of this University. 27 batches of U.G. students have passed out, with many university ranks and gold medals. The programmes of the Department were accredited by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA).

=> The department also organizes the intra department technical symposium “Mechfest” for student every year. Various events to exhibit the student technical talent are organized
=> A National Conference on Advances in Materials, Design, & Manufacturing was organized during
