Department of Civil Engineering

The Department of Civil Engineering started in 1984 is one of the oldest departments of this University. The department is accredited by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA) and is certified to ISO 9001:2000 from DNV, Netherlands. The department has well-qualified and experienced faculty members and excellent infrastructure that supports the imparting of education. The highly qualified faculty of this department includes seven faculty members with Ph.D. qualification, fourteen members pursuing Ph.D. and six with PG.

=> It is proposed to conduct National Conference on "Futuristic Innovations and Emerging Trends in Civil Engineering, (FIETCE'14)" during 5-6, May, 2014.
=> Organized Intradepartmental Technical Symposium, "CONSTRUZONE - TECHFEST'2014" On 27.03.14. Dr. Manu Santhanam, Professor, Division of Construction Engineering inaugurated the event and delivered special lecture on "Concrete Technology"
=> Organized National Conference on “Innovative Solutions for Sustainable Constructions (ISSC'13)” during 2nd & 3rd May, 2013. Dr. P. Paramasivam, Professional Fellow, National University of Singapore (NUS) inaugurated the conference and gave special lecture.
=> Organized Two Days National Workshop on “Aspects of Earthquake Disaster Mitigation and Management (AEDM'13)” during 17-19, April 2013. Dr. K. Muthumani, Chief Scientist, CSIR-SERC inaugurated AEDM'13 and gave special lecture.
