The Department of Computer Technology at the MIT Campus, Chennai was bifurcated from the Department of Information Technology in the year of 2010, with a view to promote the pursuit of excellence in the field of Computer Science and Engineering.

The Department of Computer Technology is headed by Dr. V. Vaidehi, an educator & Researcher herself, taking a pioneering role in equipping the students to attain leadership and responsibilities in the corporate world.

The Department has a team of distinguished, dynamic, young and dedicated staff members with specialization in wider areas to provide superior teaching, guidance, inspiration and motivation that may spur students to challenge extraordinary frontiers.

Currently the Department offers Undergraduate Programme B.E. (CSE) Fulltime/Part time, Postgraduate Programme M.E. (CSE), Research Programme M.S. and Ph.D. aimed at producing quality professional and researchers. Graduates from the department are recruited in many top multinational companies.
