Application invites for Post Graduate Diploma Course in Transmission and Distribution Systems Admission 2014-15, National Power Training Institute (NPTI), Nagpur.

The main objective of the course is to create a technically trained manpower readily available for recruitment to the power companies in the area of Transmission & Distribution of Electrical Power and allied industries. On successful completion of this course, the Graduate Engineers shall be having good job opportunities and preference in employment with various power companies.

About the course:

The course is of 26 weeks duration being conducted by this institute. The course content covers complete operation and maintenance of Transmission &
Distribution Systems, as per the syllabus of Indian Electricity Rules for Transmission & Distribution.

Eligibility Criteria:

Bachelor of Engineering or equivalent in Electrical/ Electrical and Electronics / Electrical & Power.
Note: Core branch is Electrical Engineering

Selection Criteria: As per merit based on Degree Percentage of marks in B.E /B.Tech. or equivalent examination.
Total Seats: 60 (Sixty).
Reservation for SC/ST/OBC/PH as per Govt. norms.
25% seats reserved for sponsored candidates.
In case seats are falling vacant in sponsored category, same will be filled up by non-sponsored candidates.

Placement: NPTI trained engineers of this course have been placed through campus placement in companies. Viz.NDPL, KPTL, REL, Torrent Power Ltd; Jyoti Structure Ltd; Tata Power Ltd., Black & Veatch, AREVA T&D,ICOMM Tele, Abhijit Group, ESSAR Power, GMR Group, Sterlite Group, Aravali Infra Power Ltd., L&T Construction, Adani Group,Suzlon Ltd., Enercon Ltd., Bajaj Energy Pvt. Application Procedure:

Application form as per Annexure “A” is to be downloaded from web site www.nptinagpur.com & filled in with relevant details. Filled in application form along with a Demand Draft of Rs. 900/- in favor of “NPTI” payable at “Nagpur”, should reach The Principal Director (address given below) latest by 13/10/2014.Candidate should write his/her name & address on the reverse of the DD. Envelope containing the application form along with the demand draft should be marked “Application For T & D Course- 2014-15” along with candidate’s postal address.

Fee Details:

1) Rs. 151686/-(Rs.135,000/-+Service [email protected]%) (in two equal installment) for non-sponsored candidates. First installment at the time of counseling for confirmation of admission.

2) Rs.196630/-(Rs.1,75,000/-+Service [email protected]%) for sponsored candidates (in one installment) at the time of counseling for confirmation of admission.

There is no fee concession for any category of candidates. Application fee is non-refundable.NPTI is not responsible for late receipt of application.Lodging/ Boarding: Facilities are available on extra payment ( If available). Separate hostel for girls.
