  • CBSE announced date of AIPMT entrance examination

    Central Board of Secondary examination (CBSE) has announced the date of All India Pre Medical Test (AIPMT). The prelims will be held on 1st April 2012 and the main exam on 13th April 2012. This step was taken by CBSE due to postponement of NEET-UG ( National Eligibility cum entrance test for undergraduates). The AIPMT exam syllabus, exam centers and question pattern of the exam will remain exactly the same as it was in 2011.
  • CMAT to be the only examination for admission at B-Schools in India for the year 2012 – 2014 ?

    AICTE (All India Council for Technical Education) has launched CMAT (Common Management Admission Test) for getting admission in all B- Schools through out India for the academic year 2012- 2014 Education Promotion Society of India (EPSI), an association of B- School and Association of Indian Management Schools ( AIMS) have objected to the idea of a single entrance test.
  • All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) release notice for AIPGMEE 2012

    The All India Postgraduate Medical and Dental exam is going to be held on 8th January 2012. AIIMS has issues notice for cancellation of NEET PG (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for Post Graduate courses). Interested candidates can apply for post graduate course through the website - http://www.aiimsexams.org/
  • New National Institute of Design to be set to meet needs of Industrial Designers

    Four new National Institute of Design (NID) to be set to meet need of Industrial Designers. The institute will be set up in Assam, Andra Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh and Haryana so that more and more youngsters take up designing course. The National Design Policy of 2011 is encouraging the creation of departments of design in all the IITs (Indian Institutes of Technology ), National Institutes of Technology (NITs) as well as private colleges.
  • History channel partners with CBSE schools for preserving Indian heritage

    History channel partners with CBSE schools for promoting education and protection of heritage monuments in India. They will jointly present Heritage Quiz 2011. The selected candidates will take part in the grand finale organized at New Delhi. UNESCO will also take part in preparing some questions of the quiz. There will also be other conservation efforts like Heritage walks, Adopt a Monument, Poster making & Short Film Competitions. This move is sure to preserve and protect heritage monuments in the country.
  • India's largest conference E-India 2011 to be hosted at Gujarat

    India's largest conference on Information and Communication Technology (ICT) to be hosted at Gandhinagar, Gujarat between 14 th to 16 th December 2011. The conference is organized jointly by Department of Science and Technology ( DST) & the Gujarat government. Participants include Bureaucrats, Corporate leaders and experts. There will be sessions on E governance, Education and Health.
  • Indian School of Business is India's first B-school to receive AACSB accreditation

    The Indian School of Business (ISB) announced its accreditation by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB). Less than five percent of the world's B schools are AACSB accredited.
  • Central Board of Secondary examination ( CBSE ) advises schools to form integrity Clubs

    CBSE wants schools to form integrity clubs to impart moral values in students. The board has advised schools to tell students the negative effects of television, internet and cell phones. Integrity clubs will be functioning just like community groups for imparting human values among student by means of workshop, games and different activities in schools. Integrity Club will consist of students from class 6th to 9th standard from the age group of 11 to 16 years. This club will instill values in integrity, love, patriotism, compassion, tolerance, secularism, unity, simplicity and honesty.
  • British Council hosts Education Fair in India in the month of November 2011

    The British Council, UK's international Organization for education and cultural relations is hosting exhibition in India for students interested to study in UK. The education fair will be hosted in 6 Indian cities – New Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai, Kochi, Coimbatore, Ahmedabad. The fair will be hosted in Ahmedabad on 19th November 2011 at Hotel Pride. 58 institutions will be participating in the education fair on 12Th & 13 November 2011 at New Delhi, 14th November 2011 is the scheduled date for Kolkata, 15th November 2011 in Mumbai, 17th November 2011 in Kochi and 17th November 2011 in Coimbatore.
  • IIM's breaking the tradition and going beyond Business Management
