Aurora's Technological and Research Institute, Hyderabad, a premier engineering college in the country, since its establishment in 1999, has been carrying forward the legacy of Aurora's quality education. Aurora Consortium was founded in 1989 byDr. Ramesh B Nimmatoori, a young postgraduate in Computer Science.

Aurora’s Technological and Research Institute (formerly known as Karshak Engineering College) is one of the eight engineering colleges under the umbrella of the Aurora group of Institutions. It was established under the aegis of the KarshakVidyaParishad in the year 1999 in Kamareddy, Nizamabad district and now functions at its permanent location at Parvathapur, Uppal (post), Ranga Reddy District. ATRI is affiliated to the Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad and is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education, New Delhi. ATRI is also accredited by National Board of Accreditation, New Delhi, which substantiates the high standards of excellence that the institution has set itself.

The institute offers B.Tech courses in 6 streams viz; Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Information Technology, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Civil Engineering. M.Tech. courses are offered in 10 specializations: Software Engineering, Bio Technology, Power System ControlandAutomation, Computer Science and Engineering, Embedded Systems, VLSI Design, Web Technologies, Structural Engineering, Machine Design and Advanced ManufacturingSystems. Post graduate courses are also offered in Business Management (MBA) and ComputerApplications (MCA).

Aurora's Engineering College is the first engineering college established by Aurora Educational Society in the year 1998 with the aim to provide quality undergraduate and postgraduate engineering education in the state of Telangana. Equipped with the facilities of International Standard and the faculty with unshakable commitment to provide quality education, the college has been marching forward to set new standards in the field of engineering education. The college presently offers seven courses under the B.Tech Programme, fifteen courses under the M.Tech programme, and MBA.

Because of this commitment and the dedication shown by the faculty and the staff, today, the college is the best engineering college in Nalgonda District and one among the top Engineering colleges in the State of Telangana.

The college is located on the outskirts of Bhuvanagiri, a town on Hyderabad-Warangal high-way in a sprawling green landscape of about 600 acres of land surrounded by hills in very picturesque settings. Bhuvanagiri can be reached either by road or rail. The nearest Railway station is Bhongir about 50 kms from Secunderabad railway station. The campus is in proximity to the divine shrine of Lord Lakshmi NarasimhaSwamy of Yadagirigutta. The college presently offers 7 UG (B.Tech) courses and 15 PG courses beginning in the year 1989.
