SARASWATHI VELU COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING was founded by PERME Trust under the Chairmanship of Sri.A.M.VELU Ex.M.P (Lok Sabha) in 2001. This College is approved by All India Council for Technical Education, New Delhi and Affiliated to the Anna University. The College has been functioning from the academic year 2001-2002 with the motto of providing quality technical to rural mass in Modern Digital Technology. The College is Managed,Maintained and run by PERME Trust. The Chairman of the Trust and College is Sri.A.M.VELU Ex.M.P, the son of late A.C.MUDALIANDA MUDALIAR, the founder of the renowned Transport Company BHARATHI BUS SERVICES. Smt.A.V. SARASWATHI AMMAL is the Co-Chair Person and Sri.A.V.RAJENDRAN is the Correspondent.Prof.A.BALAMANI is the Director, who has wide experience in the field of teaching and administration.

To carry out co-curricular and extra curricular activities which will lay emphasis on preservation of human values and high ethical standards in personal, social and public life and curricular activities which will promote academic excellence and scientific temperament in students

To provide excellent opportunities and a most conducive environment for all its teachers, students and staff to develop their full potential and make them competent professionals and useful and able citizens.

The college has sufficient classrooms with RCC buildings as stipulated by the Anna University. The College has all the necessary laboratories to make the learning-teaching process more effective and interesting. Spacious well-equipped laboratories are available for Computer Science and Engineering, Information Technology, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, workshops for Mechanical and Electrical Departments.

All the programs offered by Saraswathi Velu College of Engineering are affiliated to Anna University and approved by AICTE, New Delhi.The courses follow the curriculum of Anna University and the methodology focuses on Classroom interaction, Self-learning, Periodical Evaluation, Guest Lectures, Projects and ultimately transformation through education. The Department of ECE,CSE , IT were established in the year of 2001 and EEE was established in the year of 2002.Our vision is to educate and enlighten students from all over India, including those from the local and rural areas. We provide world-class quality of education.
