When the institution was five years old, it was taken over by Dr.PSK.R.Periaswamy, a fast emerging industrialist., KNCET has six under graduate courses namely Computer Science and Engineering, Information Technology with an intake of 60 students, Civil engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering with an intake of 120 students and Mechanical Engineering with an intake of 240 students., KNCET has three post graduate courses namely Computer Science and Engineering and Applied Electronics with an intake of 18 students &and Embedded System Technologies with an intake of 24 students., KNCET has one Research Programme Ph.D on Electronics and Communication Engineering, KNCET is full of eco-friendly environment endowed with well organized library with e-learning facility, ventilated and sound proof virtual class rooms, special courses for technical sessions in each department, open auditorium, Amphi theatre, Indoor Stadium and Hostel facilities for accommodation to develop, reveal and prove their talents.
