Annai Mathammal Sheela Engineering College was founded in the year 1996 with the efforts taken by (late) Smt.Mathammal Sheela and (late) Sri.T.A.Palaniappa Devasagayam, pioneers in the field of providing technical education. Their commitment to the academic excellence and global quality is today a benchmark for the field of Engineering, Technology, Management studies and computer applications.
AMS Institution was founded in 1996 by a group of visionaries and intellectuals to impart quality education in a stimulating and innovative environment where students are empowered with knowledge and professional skills while upholding the value of integrity, tolerance and mutual respect. AMS is a community of students, staff and faculty striving to be vibrant with learning processes which allow individuals to be themselves while being creative with their energy. The academic programmers prepare students down to earth performers and innovators who continuously imbibe from real life business situations and experiences. The core values of the AMS include the belief in the individual as the primary vehicle for initiative. The AMS aims at attracting diversity and providing it with an event where it can flourish. It promotes a culture of openness and change, where merit is the only criterion coexisting with teamwork. This College, extends over a hundred acres of land, is located at Erumapatty which is about 15 Kms from Namakkal town, the headquarters of Namakkal District. This college is located on the Namakkal - Thuraiyur State Highway in the gorgeous background of Kolli Hills. The fresh air, sweet medicated water seeping from Kolli Hills, well known for its medicinal plants, and vast area make the campus very healthy. The serene area provides a conducive atmosphere for the students to concentrate on their studies. The nearby Railway Station is Namakkal Station which is about 15 Kms from the college and the nearby Airport is Trichy International Airport which is about 90 Kms from the College.
